Lighting Models

The examples below are extracted from DIALux lighting models. They all show realistic contemporary lighting scenarios that could be considered typical for each environment.

The models show that the F8/AS1 requirement for 100 lux on the face of the signs can be met by normal electrical lighting.

The models should not be taken as evidence that any particular situation will comply with F8/AS1; light-meter measurements or a specific lighting model should be used for each situation.
Note that all these scenarios are for spaces where daylight would significantly increase the lux figures during the daytime, but the models have deliberately looked at the night-time situation because this is the worst case scenario.
